Who to leave out

I recently found out i was pregnant and i have only told my immediate family. Since my mom has passed, I've only gold my husbands mom. My dad stepped out of my life a long time ago and came back when my mom passed only to leave again and change his number. Douche bag I know. My sister said I should send him a Christmas card or something with a picture once my child is born so he knows what he gave up. I am not an ass hole so I don't feel the need to do is to. Just me giving up on him and deciding to not include him is enough revenge for me. Has this ever happened to anyone else? What should I do?
