when is it too early?

I'm 4.5 weeks is it too early to buy the what to expect when your expecting book? Also any book recommendations for hubby?

I don't understand why everyone is so worried about doing things "too early".

You buy that book whenever you want to!
Pack that hospital bag whenever you feel the need. 
Tell your friends and family whenever your little heart desires! It's YOUR pregnancy. So do it whenever you want to momma.

Of course not! I read it as soon as I found out I was pregnant with my first! It's fascinating to learn what your body and your baby are doing over the course of the next 9 months!

My dr gave me one for free. I don't know if other clinics do this to but it might be worth waiting till your first appointment and see what they give you.

If you want to buy the book now, then buy it. It's there to inform you of things during your pregnancy, it'll also make you more aware of things that shouldn't be happening, so I would say buy it. 
However I would suggest that you not buy any baby items yet. You obviously can if you really want to, but there is still a risk at this stage

You can buy it whenever they talk about week 1 to a few weeks after birth so it's really up to you!

My hubby loves the what to expect book! I told my hubby immediately when I found out at 3w5d but... How to put this ... I would wait. Just wait till you've heard the heartbeat to buy anything. I do NOT mean to rain on your joy but there is risk right now. Just hang on a few weeks :) congratulations mama!!!!
