So I had sex for the first time today and we used a condom . He pulled out we he was about to cum. He did not cum inside of me . However it's the first day of my ovulation period. Should I be worried even though I took all the necessary precautions ?

Even with perfect condom and pull out method usage, there is still a possibility of pregnancy.

You protected yourself, so no need to worry. But realize that every time you lay with a man you are inviting a baby in.

I was paranoid my first time even though I had started bc the previous month and we used a condom.

I worry every single time, and have an IUD (which is over 99% effective) and my SO pulls out. 
I think it's because I want a baby really badly but have to wait until we move in together into our own house, so I think I secretly get a little hopeful... :/

It's very normal to worry after your first time! The condom broke my first time so as you can imagine I worried myself sick. However if you haven't ovulated this cycle yet don't stress because you can actually delay your period or prevent it all together (if you've already ovulated your period should be here in about 2 weeks, the luteal phase is definite amount of time that varies very little in each individual woman.) Just relax, know that you practiced safe sex and wait for your period.
