I got my paragard placed in March 2013 and never had any problems until about 6 months ago. My period jumped from 8 days long to 13 days long and is extremely heavy for the majority of the cycle and my cramps, while manageable, have gotten worse. Before I got the IUD, my periods were usually 5-7 days long, and I rarely had cramping. I'm thinking about removing it, but I recently found out my mom had fibroids, so I'm going to get checked next time I see my OB/GYN. Has anyone else experienced this?
