How many children do you want/have?

Just curious! I, myself, want 4 children and am currently on #1 (I'm 22)

Definitely one,  maybe a second.  Let's see how this one goes first.  Kids are expensive,  financially and emotionally.  I don't want to cheat this one because we chose to have a child we cannot afford.

I know I am being idealistic.  I want to give my children what my parents gave me--a stable family,  foreign language lessons,  tutoring when necessary,  college paid for.  I want to give my children every advantage I was given.

And being able to provide ample time for each child is important too.  I don't want to neglect my children because I'm stretched too thin.

I always said I wanted 2-3 but having taken 4 years and am now 36 years old I'm not sure if more than 1 is in my future.  Only time will tell!
