weird question

Ok, so I have been wondering about this for a while and I am kind of embarrassed to ask. Sometimes I notice that I have a lot of vaginal discharge. Particularly on days after I've had sex, up to two days after. Is it possible that this could be seen left over? Or is it actually vaginal discharge? I always clean myself after intercourse so if I why it would be leading out the next day when I'm at work. Today, it's even mucousy blood. I'm not supposed to start my period until October 5.
