Your induction experience?

I'm specifically looking for people with induction stories that began induction without being dilated. I just found out yesterday that I'll be induced Monday morning due to GDM & my OB not wanting to let me go past 40 weeks. I'm not dilated at all, but I'm 60% effaced. He doesn't want to do cervadil or the balloon first, which worries me. He wants to begin with pitocin since he thinks it's more controlled. My Bishop's score seems pretty low right now, & im so worried about ending up with a section!!
