When you feel like you literally have to beg for your dad to want to be part of your life

We are in the same boat. But I decided as of a couple months ago that he is dead to me. He only wants something to deal wit me when he can take the credit for all of the work my mother has done for me and my sister. He makes no effort to keep in contact with my son nor me but once a year so I cut all ties to him. I need good people in my life, Not snakes in the grass.

Listen hun, as sad and as much as it hurts if he wanted to be in your life he would be! No excuses no anything. Had to learn this the hard way unfortunately. Never had a good relationship with my father and was always trying to make it work, always got my hopes up just to have them crushed again by him. It's not worth it!!!! You deserve better than that
