Contractions without belly tightening?

Is it possible to have contractions without belly getting hard?

Cramps are different to contractions. Contractions are the uterus contracting, so i dont see how you can have them without some tightening of the uterus. You can have them and not feel any pain.

But I'm not a doctor so i may be wrong.

Yes.. i am 22 week pregnant and feeling pre menurational cramps without tightning belly.. i guess this is normal.
