How long are your feeding sessions?

New mom here. We feed our son every 2-3 hours, but how long are you typically feeding him for?!

When my son was first born it was like 30 minutes on each breast. As they get older and their sucking becomes more powerful it will take far less time for them to breastfeed.

It depends on the baby. My son when he was a newborn ate for 5-8 minutes from birth up until he was 5-6 months old. He ate every 2-3 hours too but would literally drain both breasts in under 10 minutes! My SILs baby ate for 20 minutes on each breast. I say start on one breast and let baby nurse until it feels empty. If baby still acts hungry offer the other full breast until it's empty. Some babies just want to suckle and if you aren't opposed to a pacifier give them one then.
