New moms: how much sleep do you get?

If I didn't get at least 7 hours total during the night, I would nap during the day to make up for the lost sleep. I can't be an effective mom without enough to sleep. Now at 3 months he's sleeping 9pm-8am and I'm averaging 8 hours a night again.

My husband is freaking awesome.... even tho he works 7am -4 he's a night owl... so we've worked out an arrangement .... I give the baby his bedtime bottle around 7:30-8ish then go to bed immediately. Gary does the next feeding between 12-3 (depending on how good baby sleeps) and I sleep through that one , then I do the following  so I usually get to sleep from 9pm -5-7am ... he's the best!!! 😍👍🏻

When I was a new mom, I usually got 3-4 hours in my long stretch, but I tracked my own sleep, just like baby's and made sure I got 7 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period. It makes a big difference. My guy is 11 months and I still keep an eye on how much sleep I'm getting. We have to take care of ourselves, too!

I think 72 hours awake was my record. That was a week after his birth. Otherwise my wife and I would take turns... I slept from 6 am till 2 pm and she would sleep 9 pm till 6 am. He would be up every hour on the dial.

I get about 9-12 a night with my 4 month old. Usually. Sometimes there's an off night where I'm up 2-3 times.

About 3 or 4 hours of broken sleep. He used to sleep a solid 4 hours, but now it's just restless kicking or crying. 😭😭
