how often is the gender blood test wrong?

I just had a gender blood test done last week at 14 weeks. Got the results, it says girl. However, I got an ultrasound that day and she said "it's a boy for sure." Then the baby flipped and she said she wasn't sure. I heard that you can get a false girl that early.. has anyone had that happen? We will be happy to welcome another baby girl but we want our boy already! We feel like its a boy. My husband even went all out and bought so many boy clothes (stupid i know) but there was a garage sale that had all brand new carters boy clothes with the tags still on there for maybe $2 a piece, so he had a good reason!
My husbands coming home later and im sad to tell him its a girl, just because all he talks about is his "little man"

The blood test are scientifically way more accurate...and if you consider how accurate ultrasounds are...that's pretty accurate.

The Chromosome test is 99.98% accurate because it's testing the baby's DNA.

The blood tests are more accurate than a fuzzy ultrasound. Never heard of a false one yet.

14 weeks is really early to tell by ultrasound and a lot of those are really wrong. 16 weeks and up is much better to know. My blood test was right. They're 99% accurate. You can get a false girl result only if done earlier than 9 weeks.

I asked my midwife when I had mine and she said they're very very accurate and she hasn't had a single one be wrong in her entire practice. It sounds like the tech that did your ultrasound was maybe a little inexperienced or maybe just being pretty early still caused her to be unsure. A lot of techs won't guess until 17+ weeks just because the genitals still look so similar before that most of the time.
