Do you have to get off of birth control for a while before getting pregnant or just not taking it one day make you pregnant?

I know that's kind of a hard question to understand, but what I mean is do you have to wait to get the birth control (hormones and crap from it) to get out of your system before you get pregnant or not?

I got pregnant 2 weeks after coming off birth control and Didn't even have a period.

Even if you were on the pill and missed one and had sex, there is a chance you can get pregnant. If your hormone levels drop enough to allow for ovulation, you're at-risk for pregnancy. 
Some moms feel better when TTC to be off hormonal BC for a month or two before trying... using barrier or rhythm method until their cycles are predictable. I don't think there is any data to support a fear for health of baby/pregnancy to get pregnant immediately after discontinuing hormonal BC, some feel better that way.

My body completely rejected the pill. I had horrible symptoms and I started spotting irregularly after about s month of taking it. Now that I look back, the spotting may have been from me getting pregnant. I got pregnant while on birth control.

Depends on a few things. Your body and how it reacts to the birth control, what birth control your using, and what it does/how it works. 
Some women use it correctly and still get pregnant. Some women miss a pill, ovulate and get pregnant. Others get pregnant soon after stopping bc, while others take months to a year just to get cycles going again after stopping bc.

It's not the hormones it's waiting for your cycle to regulate. It took us 10 months I was on birth control for 7 years
