Those tests aren't always accurate. You take the chance if aborting a 100% healthy, typical baby. I wouldn't abort a baby no matter what any tests said but that one especially makes no sense to me.

I opted out of ALL genetic testing. I do not believe that abortion is an option for me.

I had 1 friend told her baby would have so many issues and they actually recommended terminating - she gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby girl.  Another friend was told her baby was missing limbs even though in the ultrasound you could see they had all their parts!
Those tests aren't very accurate.

No! God created that life for a reason and I don't believe it's in our control to decide whether it lives or dies. If it will die naturally, let things take their course. I'm 29 weeks and 2 days pregnant, and we didn't even have any of the testing done because it won't change a single thing about the way we feel about my pregnancy. Miracles happen every day, and those tests are not 100% accurate anyway. I believe God has the final say in my baby's health!

Regular downs no. But trisomy 18 maybe! Trisomy 16 yes! That one isn't compatible with life so to continue the pregnancy only causes the mother more pain and stress on the fetus. You lose the baby in the third trimester anyway or they die at birth.

My husband's mother was told he would be born with Down's syndrome because of her age at his birth (in her 40s), he was born completely normal and healthy.

I will not be getting genetic testing, the only bonus I see in getting it done would be to possibly prepare for a child with a disability.

I'd never. Doctors told my mom to terminate me. They found SOOO many issues that told them I'd either die before birth or immediately after. They also said if my mom continued to carry me, her chances of survival were low, too. Guess what? I was perfectly healthy and so was my mother. Doctors don't know everything and those tests are not 100%. I have decided that since my mother took a chance, I will do the same if something like that comes up. God knows how the story is written...doctors are human and tests are not always accurate. JMO

No. Downs is a very manageable condition. The only reason if consider terminating is if baby had a condition that was going to cause them pain while in the womb.
