Requesting no clothes (gifts)

We got a lot of (nice) clothes from my cousin (she has a young son) through 24 months. In addition, I just really like picking out clothes for my son - I'm picky (please don't judge, it's just how I feel about it 😊) . Id like to request that folks not get us clothing. No clothes are listed on the registry but people always go off lol. Would like your opinions.... Is there anything rude or inappropriate about putting the following on the line under our registry info on the shower invitation? (In the end, I'd certainly rather get clothes than offend, hurt any of our loved ones or come off as a jerk. My pickyness isn't worth THAT!):

"Little Finn is fully stocked on clothing thanks to his AWESOME big cousin, Max!"
