when is my baby supposed to start smiling?!

He's 7 weeks 2 days old and still hasn't smiled yet :( When is he supposed to start smiling?! Or when did your child start smiling?

I went to the pediatrician today and he said my son should start smiling within the next month (current 6w3days)

But now he is a very happy baby.

Wait a few more weeks. Around 3 months I knew my baby was smiling intentionally but before that it was all gassy smiles and smiling in sleep. Be patient

My son didn't start purposely start smiling until 3 months. Before then it was just smiles when he had gas or unintentional ones

My baby started smiling intentionally around 6 weeks or so..she's 2 months now and smiles constantly. I'm so sorry you haven't got to experience this magical feeling yet. I'm sure it's coming soon.
