When your water breaks

Question

What if my water breaks while I'm sleeping? Should I be sleep with towels under me or is it generally not enough liquid to soak your bed? I just don't wanna ruin my mattress pad on top  😜 What have any of you ladies done?

Mine broke at 36w2d at 6 a.m. while I was laying down. Full on gushing especially when I sat up! I'd recommend putting a waterproof mattress pad on the mattress because it can be a lot and will definitely ruin the bed.  And do it well in advance because you never know.

I would get the large area pads almost like puppy pee pads if your worried about it but most likely your water either won't break or it'll break when your standing up.. mine broke when I stood up from a stool!! Have towels in the car if it does break

I'm going to get some those disposable pads that go under a person that has incontinence issues. Or maybe the ones that go under kids.

My moms broke in her bed when she went into labor with me. I was her second baby. Everyone is different tho. My sisters leaked for a day or 2 til she want to the hospital and they broke it with her 1st. With her 2nd they broke it at the hospital. With her 3rd it broke when she was getting off of the toilet. I have no idra what to expect.. I plan bringing a change of clothes with me everywhere & maybe some pads just incase. I have a mattress protector on my bed so I'm not too worried.

I insist on having a waterproof mattress cover on all my mattresses.

If you want to- go for it, but only about 10% of women have their water break naturally and if those I would assume not many happen while in bed

Lol unfortunately Hun if they break they won't care where u r when they do haha! There's a fair bit of them too mine broke when I picked my daughter up from school n I had to walk home absolutely drenched lol if u r worried maybe a mattress protector would be a good shout though but yeah lol c
