primrose oil?

My OB suggested to drink primrose oil with orange juice or some type of juice. Did it help any of you ladies ?

It helps you to soften your cervix. You can take it orally or vaginally. Make sure you check with your dr before starting anything but my midwife has me start orally at 36 weeks and then I switch to vaginally. It doesn't cause you to go into labor, though there was one tiny study done that shows some correlation (not causation) of women's who took it vaginally having their water break before actual labor began. This can lead some women to need augmentation with medications like pitocin. I haven't had this experience myself. But again this is why you shouldn't begin to insert vaginally until at least 37 weeks.

I took the capsuals 3 times a day for first half of my cycle but primrose oil can cause your uterus to contract n should consult your doctor before taking any while pregnant
