Good news following EIF diagnosis
After a nerve-wracking week, we learned today via blood test that our baby is perfectly healthy! This, after the ultrasound tech found an echogenic intracardiac focus or EIF, on our 20-week scan, which can sometimes be a soft marker for some conditions caused by chromosomal abnormalities. I felt so scared and helpless waiting to know the results, and I couldn't find a lot of info on EIFs online. So, I'm posting this in case it gives reassurance to anyone else going through this: take a deep breath and hang in there. You're not alone, and I'm rooting for you.
