Anyone know the restrictions on pregnant and flying??? Please share some info this way

Different airlines have different requirements as to when you need a note from the doctor and when you aren't allowed to fly- check with the airline specifically! I've found it's usually available on their website.

I also recommend aisle seats and compression socks

You need to check with the airline you're planning to travel with as they have different policies - some have earlier cut offs, some need fit to fly notes from your doctor after a particular point but will allow you to travel until quite late on. Check your travel insurance too as they may not cover costs for the birth or if you or the baby need care if you travel after a particular point or without checking with your doctor first.

Airlines won't take you after 36 weeks. Up until then as long as you are healthy otherwise (i.e. Low risk) you are one. You need a Drs note for the sirline after 28 weeks stating you are low risk/ok to fly, tho I was never asked for mine.

I flew a 3.5 hour flight at 24w. My feet swelled a bit but I made sure to drink plenty of water and get up to walk as much as I could. I flew American Airlines and they don't let you fly past 36w without a note.

I flew to Chicago from San Francisco at 30 weeks and home at 31 weeks. It was pretty uncomfortable (the swelling was terrible) but otherwise, I was fine. Make sure to drink TONS of water the days before you fly and the day of flying. I asked to pre-board with families and they let me which was really nice and helpful. Like another poster said, make sure to check individual airlines, some have different policies. I also had a doctor's note, just in case, but was not asked for it. My doc recommended wearing "comfortable and not as tight fitting clothes" so they wouldn't bug me about being pregnant. Good luck!

Most doctors are okay with it until some time in the third trimester I believe but that's a question for your doctor
