Kitten ??

Question

Can I get a kitten being pregnant? I know about the toxins in there poo and my boyfriend will be doing the litter changes and I'll wash my hands after touching her... I've only got a month left so won't be pregnant long ?

I have 7 cats. Did with my first too.  People make it a way bigger deal then they need to.  If you're not cleaning the litter or sticking your fingers in the cats butt hole and licking them you're fine. It makes me so bad when people tell me I should get rid of my cats for the baby. If you're not stupid you'll be fine plus there's almost no rush of getting it with fully indoor cats even if you did the litter but I still have my husband do it.

A kitten? I wouldnt. A grown cat? Yeah probably. Kittens are just a handful, and you will already have your hands so full with a baby. Grown cats are different,  kinda set in their ways and easy to care for. But cats are always 50/50. Either you find a sweet, loving cat that will be your snuggle buddy or you find a demonic like beast that hates everything and hides all the time. We have a super sweet, fat, lazy, snuggle buddy 3 year old cat. He is my 4 yr olds bff. My hubby has taken care of all the cat duties thus far this pregnancy. But i would be lying if Im not a little concerned about him being around our newborn. Hes so fat and lazy and just kinda plops anywhere and every where. So im concerned he might try to lay on the baby. I dunno, just think long and hard. Kittens are loud, very needy and a handful.

Cats are fine. We have one. Hubby changes the litter box since I'm pregnant. They're also nice because you don't have to stress about potty training. Most cats automatically use the box.

I got a kitten when I was pregnant with my first..  He's fine, and I'm fine. Hubby changes the litter just to be on the safe side.. But I snuggle with both my cats all the time

I've had a kitten my entire pregnancy. If it's an indoor cat then there is little little risk to them even having the thing that can make you sick. 
If you want a kitten then go for it

Can't see a problem with it but bare in mind kittens are very playful if you did get one I would make sure it doesn't scratch baby or out

Kittens tend to pee and poo in places other than a litter box for a while...some for a long while!

I wouldn't want any extra responsibilities right now!!!

My concern of having my cat in our home was after the baby was born. Cats are notorious for smothering infants and it is not a chance I will risk taking.

I would get a cat, not a kitten. The kitten will need alot of vaccines and potty training. And you won't know if they are child friendly. There are plenty of cats that need forever homes and they can have background info on them already. You will know for sure if the cats is kid friendly, potty trained, and vaccinated up to date.

I'm sorry but no animals on my end. My daughter is dying for a turtle and I cannot please her with her request . I wouldn't risk a thing for anything that could possibly harm my LO . I work in a laboratory and I see parasites and weird stuff all the time .
