I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years today  and I truly love him and want to spend the rest of my life with him. He says he loves me back and is in love with me. We have been through some rocky times but we where able to get through it together. The question is what is to long to wait for marriage he knows I want to marry him because I have expressed it to him I e even asked him do he see himself marry me and being with me he says yes and that he wants to marry me but I'm not going to hound him about it but I really don't want to wait forever. How long is to long to wait. My mom said if a man don't ask you to marry him within a 5 years of your relationship than its going to be hard to get him to or it could mean he doesn't want to marry you is that true. This is us. BTW I'm 38 and he is 55.
