Orgasms or the lack there of....

My husband of 4 years(been together almost 7total) just finally gave me an orgasm like I can give myself when messing around. Anyone else have troubles reaching orgasm when its not asexual or am I just weird? He is so proud of himself because he can do it now... I mean it took two kids and lots of openness with each other but I just feel weird that it took me this long.
