who to choose between husband and parents??

If ur parents and parents in law have issues and they don't talk to each other. And this effects ur married life.. who will u choose between ur life partner and ur own parents?? Like it's been 3 years and am sick of this conflicts and issues now 😢

Your parents and your husband's parents don't have to like each other nor do they have to even talk. That's not what marriage is. You can live without them associating. If you have a big family get together such as Thanksgiving, ask them to just behave like adults. There's no choice here.

My SO and my mom once got into it. I got stuck in the middle. I told them it was between them and leave me out of it.

I don't expect people to get along. I do expect them however to be civil.

I would choose my partner, no hesistation. The parents can get over their disagreements or just not be around each other, I wouldn't throw away my relationship just because they don't get along. But I don't really have a strong connection to my family so not being around them wouldn't bother me or be out of the norm.

My husband hands down wins. I know if the situation were in reverse and my mother had to choose between my husband and my father, she'd of course naturally choose my dad. I love my husband, he's the father of my kids, he's my family, my parents are now external family.

Husbands and wives are intended to work together and work things out, not run back to their parents, so the answer is easy, if you're married, stay with your husband. If you're not married (not sure about the term you used "life partner"), then you've got a dilemma.

I'd never choose any one over my mam, we'll make it work somehow but no way I'm gunna pick someone over her, an ex tried once and it didn't end well. If they cannot get along for the sake of their children then there I something seriously wrong, luckily my mam would never let something get in the way of my happiness, even though she hates talking to so's mother she tolerates her for my sake
