PCOS frustrations

Sara
I think the most frustrating thing to me about PCOS is that I am stuck with it with the rest of my life.
I was diagnosed when I was 27; I'm 31 now.  I've managed to get my symptoms under control with diet, exercise and 3 different meds every day (I'm not TTC, just trying to feel normal every day). And I know I'm one of the lucky ones. For some, no treatment works.
But in order to keep this status quo, I have to watch what I eat at every meal. I have to take meds every day. I have to watch how much I exercise and sleep, and make sure I don't stress out too much. Even when I watch all of this, I still have bad spells and flare-ups.
And it's going to be like this for the rest of my life, because there is no cure. They can't even settle on a cause.
It's just frustrating.
