Nipple shield

Is it ok to use a nipple shield long-term? Well, I hope it's not that long and he will eventually latch without it, but who knows. He'll be 2 weeks tomorrow.

It just makes me sad I can't get him onto my actual breast. 😖 I need to put more work into trying, but at least he's eating, I guess.
