how many oz?

My LO is drinking a huge amount of milk in a day id say realistically about 80+ oz at least and he's not on a schedule. I feed on demand. Is this normal? I don't remember my 2 yo drinking this much...

Seems like a lot ... maybe baby wants to suck on something and is not necessarily hungry ... try putting him on a schedule and see if that helps regulate his eating habits a bit ... my LO is about 10lbs 6.7oz and he eats 3-4oz per bottle and has 5-6bottles in a day depending on how much he sleeps ..

That seems impossible really.... 80 oz? My LO is on the petite side but really 25 oz a day is a big appetite day for her

Sounds like way to much, maybe try a slower flow nipple. Babies don't have to work for milk from a bottle so it's very easy to over feed them from a bottle. Making them work a little will give their system a change to realize when they are actually full before gulping down the entire bottle.

My almost 3 month old is 16lbs 2 oz and he eats 6-8 oz a feeding now instead of 4-6 we try to make it every 3 hours but I feed on demand most of the time. He's on formula because breastfeeding didn't work out we only made it two weeks. His dr isn't concerned and neither am I. Both my other kids were big babies at birth too and ate a ton hit we had a diff ped and he had them on baby food early

My baby is eating around 30 to 35 ounces a day. He is 2.5 months and weighs about 14 lbs

Wow that sounds like way too much! Usually my 11wk old boy has 26-30oz a day. During a growth spurt he will have like 32-36oz but he's only done that a couple of times.

Wow! Seems like an insane amount. Hope your not formula feeding that would break the bank!!! In the first four to six months when your baby isn't eating any solids, here's a simple rule of thumb: Offer 2.5 ounces of formula per pound of body weight each day. My Baby is 3 months and eats under 40 per 24 hrs. She weighs 11lbs 14oz. Her Dr says that's perfect. If you or babies Dr is not concerned about weight gain then keep doing it. Every baby is different guess this one just digests much faster then most.
