Has anyone been told that their baby is gaining weight too rapidly?? I've been told to cut back the amount of formula as he gained 280g in a week, 100g more than what he should be gaining. It is true that you can overfeed a baby. He's been both breastfed and formula fed due to low milk supply. This advice wasn't from a doctor but from a child and family health nurse. I will be asking my gp when I see her on Friday. I tried cutting back for three feeds but he wouldn't settle and screamed and cried until he got the amount of milk he wanted. My baby was 9lbs 3oz at birth.
