Guilty

So I've been best friends with this guy who I love dearly for 7 years within the past couple of months ago we decided that we are going to take our friendship to the next we were are both in good places in our life.so we have been talking for about 3 or 4 months.he lives in a different state. so last month I got on tinder to make some new friends and I ended up meeting this guy and we had unprotected sex once before that I was celibate for 7 months. I feel bad that I slept with this dude when I really want to be with my best friend. Was I wrong to sleep with someone else even though I'm not his girlfriend and how long should I wait before getting tested for hiv and aids?
