Yesterday I went in for my 8 week ultrasound. I told them the first day of my last period and they said i should have been measuring at 8 weeks 1 day. However I have not had a normal period since before I had my son (whose 2). The baby measured at 6 weeks, and they said they couldn't see a heartbeat. They said there was no blood flow to baby, but blood flow around baby. The ultrasound tech said that they will do another ultrasound next week to make sure there's no growth and no heartbeat again. If there is still no change I'd meet with the doctor to discuss my options. I have not had any miscarriages (that I'm aware of) prior to this and my first pregnancy with my son was healthy, no complications. I was very upset yesterday. After talking to a friend of mine, she said that the same thing happened to her with her son (whose now 5 months old). They saw no heartbeat at 6 weeks, went back 2 weeks later and there was a heartbeat. My question is, should I get my hopes up that there will be a heartbeat, or is it more likely that there will be no heartbeat. I have no bled at all, no cramping, I'm still naseous, sore breast, and tired. Any advice or experience stories would be helpful. Thanks!
