What kind of birth control do you plan to use/have you used?

I can't decide which birth control route after baby is born. I'd appreciate any stories you all have with your experience with different methods, and/or what you plan to do after your LO gets here!

Pill 😍 4 years then went off for 6 months and had my son, 6w after I went back on the pill for 2 years, off 3 months, and now pregnant with my daughter. Love love love the pill.

I had an IUd before I had my baby. I did the paragard hormone free one and I loved it except for the heavy periods. I don't plan to go back on a BC after this pregnancy because we will want to try for another in about 15 months after so I will probably just track my cycles.

I wouldn't use the depo. It screwed me up so bad and I gained 40 pounds. It took a year almost to the day for one shot to leave my system and I had a period for at least five months and then they just stopped. I'm planning to use condoms when my son is born because all birth controls do weird things to me.

Both times I went on depo shot at 6 weeks pp.  There is a 7 year gap between my two current t kiddos. I was NOT on depo that long. Then again, I left my ex and didn't do anything for a LONG time.

After my toddler, as stated, depo at 6 weeks. I had 3 total. In May 2015 I told hubby I was getting off it to get my cycle back (no periods at all) and we would start tracking (my body usually is very predictable, i just needed AF back). So that was my last shot. Did not renew it in Aug. AF returned Jan of this year... So figure at least 3-6 months for depo to clear my.system. I began tracking and very predictable. Well.. Looked at the app I was using a day late to update it. I had ovulated the day before we fooled around. Well... 2 weeks later I got.my current BFP. Not exactly planned but not prevented, either. And we knew what we could end up with. We had wanted more. Lol. So.. Yeah..

I would say it depends on if you plan to have more and how soon after. Depo worked for me as it was one (annoyingly sore) shot every 3 months. I got pregnant on the pill with my first so I don't use that.
