How many ultrasounds have you had?

So with my first baby, I had several ultrasounds with the best Doctor ever.. I have since moved to Texas. And I am not totally happy with my Doctor this pregnancy. And I have only had 2 ultrasounds. One being from my original doctor in MS when I was 8 weeks pregnant. And the second one being the 20 week scan at an US dept. I have yet to have an US with my doctor. The doctor who is suppose to deliver my baby... Is that normal? I am 29 weeks.

Yes. Most insurance companies only over 2-3 per pregnancy unless you're considered high risk or carrying multiples.
If your insurance has not changed, then it's the hospitals policy or what your insurance covers changed.
They see it as an unnecessary process unless there's a medical reason. 
Most of the time when you read about women who have had lots, it's because they're paying out of pocket or it's for the forementioned reasons.

6.. 1 emergency room, 1 first ob appointment, 2 to check skipping heart beat,  1 gender, & 1 because i begged my ob to see him since it was the start of my 3rd trimester

I live in Panama but my family lives in Texas so I decided to have the baby here, I transferred at 20 weeks and when I was in Panama I had an ultrasound almost every two weeks, I haven't had one single ultrasound since I got here and I'm 35 weeks pregnant. Doctor says I won't have one until 36 weeks ( I have asked for one almost at every appt) it's very frustrating, with my first daughter I did the same but with a different doctor and had more ultrasounds, so I'm guessing it's up to the ob

That seems pretty normal. U might get a growth scan closer to ur due date.
I had a dating scan @ 9 weeks
NT scan at 13 weeks (optional)
Anatomy scan at 20 weeks
I'll have a growth scan at 28 weeks

Then starting at 32 weeks they will do non stress tests twice a week bc I'm diabetic. Sometimes this will include a quick scan on the portable u/s machine.

I have had a lot. Because I am high risk. If I wasn't high risk I wouldn't want any ultrasounds. My baby hates them. :(

Normal at my dr office is 2. I've had 10 or 12 so far and I'm 26 weeks.

That sounds normal. I had one at 9 weeks and my doc won't give me another until 24 weeks for an anatomy scan. Everytime I go in she just checks his heartbeat. I went to a private ultrasound place to get a 3D ultrasound and to find out the sex. It was about $90.
