How important do you think it is to drive when you have a baby? Should you get a license before having a baby? Is it easier?

Way easier. If I had an emergency, I'd hate to have to depend on someone else or take the bus.

I couldn't live without the car! Grocery shopping, doctors appointments, in case of emergency, visiting family, picking up play equipment from private sellers who wont deliver etc...

Depending on where you live it's really important. I used to live in a bigger city where the public transportation is super reliable and easy but I'm due in December and couldn't imagine being 8/9 months pregnant walking in the cold to get to the bus for work and appointments. So much easier with a car. But doable without one if you have a good bus line/subway.

It depends on where you live. No one in my area can get around without a car, but in some cities a car is just a hassle.

I've two kids and just started driving, we live in a tiny village and my husband works away. I used to feel so down having to get buses and taxis everywhere or ask family for favours. Now I feel so free it's amazing!
