sleepless blues. help!

Jennifer Mae
Pregnancy hasn't been one of those beautiful experiences for me, each trimester had its own set of struggles, and I wasn't lucky enough to avoid anything. I'm 32 weeks now and the third trimester has included back and rib aches, heartburn, nausea, insomnia, swelling, restless legs, short of breath, many tears, and extreme snoring. The snoring has become an issue for my nights...I don't know what to do. I've tried nose strips and sleeping in an upright position, but I still snore. My husband works 24 hour shifts, so he will wake up at 5am, go to work, and be gone until 6am the next morning. He does not sleep during his work shift. On nights when he is home, I am interfering with my snoring. He wakes me up; I've woken up to him talking to me, telling me to stop, to him hitting the mattress, and tonight he flailed around in the covers until I woke up. He will wake me up and pretend he's sleeping. Twice I've been startled awake by the sound or movement. I don't know what to do. Once I'm up, I'm back to insomnia, heartburn, aches, and just completely uncomfortable. I've gone to the couch before...it's just getting to be really hard for me. I do not work, so I can catch a couple hours in the morning, but what do I do? What do you think? I can't control my snoring and I can't handle always being woken up and then struggling to sleep. I only have a few weeks left before baby is here...
