After you use the bathroom do you leave the lid up or down?

Used to leave it up, but the last couple days I found two hair ties my cat was playing with in the toilet! So now it is staying down!!!! ?

I voted up. The only time I put it down is if I'm in there with the door open doing something and my cat tries to play in the toilet lol. I don't see the point in putting it down lol

Ever since my mom and I watched this episode of Dr. Oz on putting the lid down we do it religiously. When we flush the toilet debris, water, feces, and other bacteria flies everywhere! So unsanitary to leave the lid up ?

FYI.....It should be placed down then flushed or your spraying your bathroom with dirty toilet water....! So down!
