My induction story

It`smeC
So I am 41 weeks on the 13 th had a scheduled induction. Got to the hospital at 330pm. They immediately started my first round of antibiotics for group B, and then checked me. I was 3cm dilated and 90 percent. Feeling totally fine. Around 845pm they started the second round of antibiotics, as well as started pitocin. They gave me benadryl to help me sleep and Tylenol because I had a little bit of a headache. Finally got some sleep from about 11 to 1230. At that time I woke up, felt I had to pee really bad and also felt contractions starting. The nurse told me they were coming on more but not consistent, I felt differently. They were short contractions but coming faster and faster. And more and more painful. The pain was getting intense in a short amount of time. I told the nurse I wanted a epidural and she went to get the midwife. When the midwife came in she said she didn't need to check me she was just going to go get the Dr for epidural. All at once I felt contractions getting worse and said I just felt something down there. In fact I think the baby is coming. The nurse said no nothing there, but I knew something was coming, I was screaming in pain, the baby was coming! A ton of people came rushing in and were telling me I had to push immediately. And about 5 minutes later my baby boy was born. Totally natural! He weighed in at 9 lbs 13 ounces!!!! And I had no tearing!! All together from start of potocin to delivery, 4 and half hours.... Worst pain ever! But my baby boy Liam Henry is here and I couldn't be happier, I can't wait for his big brother to meet him!
