Tongue piercings?

Who has actually had something bad happen when you got your tongue pierced? I want it done so bad but I'm scared of hitting a vein, or paralyzing my tongue. Experiences?

I went with my fiancé to get his tongue pierced a couple weeks ago. We went to a professional piercer, but when he put the needle through, my fiancé pulled his tongue back in because of the pain. It ended up being crooked and way too close to the end of his tongue. He took it out the same day & basically wasted $25. Lol

My entire experience was great. Had it for a year before i removed it for work. Just make sure you go to a reputable parlor!
