Inducing at 38+3 - Need advice!

Had my 38 week appt today. Doc said I'm ready to go... head is right there, super thin, a couple centimeters dialated. But I'm in a pickle... the doc is out of town Wed-Sat next week. He said we can induce Monday.. adding that it's earlier than he normally likes to induce, but my body is so ready that he doesn't see an issue with it... oooorrr.... I can be on bed rest until he returns next Sunday (he said this with a chuckle)... which doesn't guarantee baby will stay put, of course.

It's really important to me that this doc delivers my baby. He delivered my son 6 years ago and I just trust him completely with the before-care, delivery, after-care, circumcision, etc. BUT, I really wanted baby to come on his own time, too. I was planning on an epidural, anyway, so I'm not too concerned about the intense and painful contractions that Pitocin can bring on. Doc said my body is so ready, that induction would be a slam dunk. I just don't know what to do!

What would you ladies do??
