copper IUD paragard

Hey girls!! I'm getting my copper IUD placed on Tuesday and I'm freaking out! I was on the Pill previously and I had a horrible experience on it my anxiety was crazy I literally felt like I was insane needless to say I couldn't deal with it anymore and I stopped taking them. I figured the my best option was to going to hormone free birth control and the only one that seems worth it is the ParaGard IUD.  I want to hear your opinion on the ParaGard and your experience so far. I am honestly really scared I get horrible Cramps and just overall symptoms every month and I know they're going to get worse on the ParaGard but I'm just really trying to avoid pregnancy. Can't wait to hear you guys have to say!
