Pap smear ?

Question ladies I know they do a pap at your first prenatal appointment, but I had a repeat pap at 6wks post partum (my daughter is almost 9months old)
Will they want to do another pap as usual or could they possibly not?

My doc told me I didn't need a pap because they are now good for three years. Score!

I had one in July so my midwife didn't do another one. But she did take a culture just to check for anything. Like a pap but she didn't go that far up and just wanted some discharge. Tmi I know lol

Where i live they recommend doing them every 6 months

I haven't had one yet, I had one early on with my last pregnancy so maybe they just won't do it this time since it's only been a year and half since my last pap.. I have a doctors appt Tuesday so we'll see

I had a routine one earlier this year before I got pregnant so my doctor said I didn't need another one

Skip it is you can! It may or may not cause spotting that will just stress you out! I wish I would have said no to mine last week. I did spot twice in 48 hours after it.

They only do them every 3 years at this doctors office, so I didn't need one.  They did a swab to get some cultures. Not a full app though
