breast milk overproduction??

LO is six days old today, when he latches on one boob, the other starts shooting milk, literally shooting squirts of milk. When I unlatch to burp the one he's feeding on does the same. 
Is this normal or should I start pumping too?

Pumping will not make you produce less and it is pretty normal. Mine did that for a month or two.

I regret not starting sooner cause I was the same way. My son is now 3 weeks old and I'm starting my supply and I can barely pump. I would start as soon as you can. Store 3 oz in a bag at a time!
