nearly 24 weeks and feeling really strong kicks

The sonographer at my last scan was saying the baby is still so small that it will feel like flutters but at that tie I'd already been feeling strong kicks. My partners is also able to feel them from the outside now and I am quite overweight. I can feel kicks and when he is turning about. Anyone else?
