Promise Rings???👑💎💍

My boyfriend and I are 17 and have been together since the end of 8th grade. We have a very good relationship, we share a friend group, are close with each others families and are genuinely in love. He always promises to marry me and "one day make me his queen". He says things like "I can't wait to get down on one knee" and leaves voicemail saying "hey babe, it's your future husband" and I feel the same way! I want to marry him, so last week I mentioned a promise ring.... he started panicking saying he wasn't ready for commitment like that and that we're too young and unstable....

I feel hurt and confused. He calls himself my future husband and promises to spend the rest of his life with me but when I mention a tiny bit more permanent promise, he flips out. I know most of ya'll think promise rings are silly and childish but I just want a little reminder on my finger saying "I promise I love you". I don't know... What are your opinions ladies?
