I keep hearing colic, but what is it? Is it just when your baby cries a lot for no reason?

Answer

Colic: severe, often fluctuating pain in the abdomen caused by intestinal gas or obstruction in the intestines and suffered especially by babies.

Basically any healthy, well-fed baby that cries for more than three hours a day, more than three days a week, for three weeks or more is considered colicky.
