spirits??

i have been wondering can babies see spirits? because my daughter she is a month will be 2 next week & in my room she stares at the wall for a good hour smiling just staring at nothing seriously & sometimes she cries which i get scared even more. has anyone experienced this also?

I believe they can. My daughter is 2 months and I have a dream catcher hanging in the bedroom. It was my Grandpa's and he passed away in 2013. Ever since I brought her home she stares at it. She even smiles and makes all her baby noises to it. What is crazy is when she's crying, she will look at it and start smiling and laughing. I had always told my Grandpa that I wanted him to be healthy so he would be around to meet my kids. This is my first baby so I feel like it's just my sign that he's here and knows about my daughter :)

You're going to get different answers based on what others believe. Personally I do believe in spirits but at the same time it's not uncommon for babies to stare at seemingly nothing. 
If you're worried, you can go burn some sage and cleanse the house, or have someone else do it for you. We cleanse our home about once a month... mainly because we love the smell of sage lol

Much of babies behavior in the early weeks is involuntary-their brains are firing neurons and making connections and testing things out so it's not uncommon for them to smile or laugh at nothing or stare at a wall-their vision is pretty poor for a good while, they can only see 12-18" in front of them
