Ingrown hairs!?

What do y'all think the best way to get rid of ingrown hairs is? I have one and it's very painful!

Answer

Don't shave that area until the ingrown hair is removed. Try not to scratch it, either. Doing so will cause more irritation and just exacerbate the issue. Also, if there's a pustule, DO NOT pop it. 
That can lead to infection. If it winds up infected, you may need a topical antibiotic (or an oral one if it's a severe infection).
You can gently wash/exfoliate the area to help the hair come back to the surface. 
Hot compresses work pretty well, too.
