baby lifting head? when?

When was your baby able to hold their head up by themselves ? I have a 5 week old and she can lift her head for a few seconds.

My LO could hold his head almost immediately and now at 2 mos he can support himself on his elbows and hold his head up straight and look around

Yea so did mine he will be 3 weeks on tuesday and can hold his head up for a while it is so suprising

The same night she was born she lifted her head from my chest, looked at me, & turned it over to lay it down on the other side. She's a month old now and holds her head up very often for pretty long periods of time for being so young.

My baby is two months old and will hold his head up for about 3 minutes but from what I have heard he is learning pretty quick!

At 10 weeks, my baby can hold her head up during tummy time. She still struggles to keep it up. But she can for 1-2 minutes now. Most will have the ability to hold it up around 4 months. You'll start to notice a drastic increase in a ability to around 8 weeks, especially if you do tummy time like you should.
