slightly worried

So I started my period on the 8th well about a week before that I had some spotting when I had a bowel movement I thought it odd but since I've gone to day shift I figured maybe my body is acting weird well  on the 6th I had a papsmear I felt cramps but like I said I started the 8th so I was like ok. my test all came back normal and my ovulation window is about to start but then again tonight  I started spotting after a BM. In the past I've only spotted around my period my period has always been regular like to the day except this month I was a week early so Im wondering should I call my DR back or have any of you experienced anything like this??
