Losing virginity???

Just wondering what people think about losing there virginity.  Me personally I honestly don't care who I lose it to. Like it isn't a big thing that I want to wait for.  How do you feel about losing your virginity?

That's sad to read. I think it should be important, and with someone you trust and love. Doesn't have to be someone you spend the rest of your life with, but to "not care" to me,  just screams "I have no value or self respect!" I hope I'm wrong.

I lost my virginity in a one night stand to a guy I barely knew at a small party when I was nineteen. I'd just wanted to get sex out of the way because whenever the subject came up with people my age I felt judged. I now realize how stupid a reason that was. The sex was awkward and crappy and the guy wasn't exactly gentle(I think that comes with the territory when it's "just sex").  I also found out about a week later that he apparently had a girlfriend at the time and that created a whole new set of problems that I won't get into. While I won't recommend you wait til marriage(although all the more power to you if you do) I do think you should wait until you meet someone that you know well and care for and who cares for you in return. Whether or not you care about who you lose it to now you will care sometime in the future.  And trust me, regret and self-loathing are not good feelings to have.

Honestly to me virginity is a made up idea (not getting into the whole feminist spiel). There's no actual difference from a virgin and non virgin aside from the obvious one.

That being said, I do believe the first time should be with someone you trust. After all, you want to have a good experience and enjoy it. While I didn't wait for love or marriage, I did trust my boyfriend. Needless to say, he didn't let me down.

It's perfectly fine that you don't really care about it. To each their own. I just hope you find a decent person to experience it with.

The first 2 men I slept with I did it because it's what they wanted, and while I don't regret it, it wasn't a pleasant experience either time.

The first dumped me 2 days later, and the next I dumped because I found out afterwards he was engaged.

I wish I had been smart enough to know that the "who"  and "why" does matter.

If it wasn't a big deal you wouldn't very asking.  I sense a sense of reservation.  I think regardless of the "who" it is, there should be at least a "why"... and hopefully that's because you love them. ♡

I didn't care, I was going away soon to basic training and wanted it out of the way. I didn't want to be a virgin in a field with predominantly men.  I felt like that would make me a target if they knew. So I gave it away, terribly drunk, at a party with a guy I couldn't care less about, who didn't care about me either. It hurt like hell. I didn't have sex again until I met my now boyfriend, and he was so caring it was amazing. I wish I would have just waited, lost it to the man I'm with now. It would have meant a lot more. But at the same time I don't care.. it happened.
