friends with benefits?

Theres this guy I know from school. We didnt really know each other but last week there was a party and he started to flirt with me. We've been talking since and he's been really sexual in conversations. I asked him what he wanted and he told me he wanted to be friends with benefits. 
Does someone have experience with this and is it a bad idea? He told me it would probably never turn into a relationship. I dont know what i should do, because it sounds quite fun to me but maybe ill get hurt..

I don't know. I'm friends with benefits with an international student who is going home in December, so we both understood that we could not have a real relationship. But I think I'm going to stop. Lately it has become more about the benefits for him and less about the friendship I need. I only started because I really needed companionship. But he's not providing that anymore. He used to text good morning and good night and call me cute names. But I only hear from him now if he wants something. It was really nice at the beginning though. It's just kind of died down. Also, when he finds another girl he will lose interest in you. Then say that you shouldn't care because you're not his girlfriend.

If you are the kind of person that jealous insecure or gets attached or wants more etc. You just end up feeling used in the end.  I've done it and will never again. It's a crappy excuse that he can sleep around without feeling any guilt because you are not in a relationship.
